It certainly is a help to us, to see and read your experiences there. each and every time i have read your blogs, i get butterflies and a feeling strong feeling of pride and dedication to the mission. My team is in the mode of finishing up our box packing and thru your blogs and inspiration, and the reactions of the children with your lessons , we can see that what we bring to Fiji with us is well received. Well reading your blog gives me a huge smile… What great colours in the fish project. I think all the projects that you have written about have so much depth to them. They teach, entertain, engage and allow the children a sense of pride in their work. I love that they brush their teeth at school boy wouldnt that be a great thing for all schools to do…
You sound so happy and so in your element. They are lucky to have you there…

The true meaning of peace really is global! The responses from these Fijian children are quite similar to the responses that I would expect from our own school children right here in America. This is a great lesson for our own students to learn. Peace really is a seed planted inside all of us, no matter where we live. The real key to peace is whether or not it is watered, fertilized, and encouraged to grow.

Oh the things we take for granted. Our students only read about frangipani trees in The Cay, but these children climb them and eat their fruit daily.

Who would have thought that the peace flags we loved so much during summer school would now be hanging in a Fijian school only a few weeks later! Global education can do wonders!
